Ain't growing anymore

For the first time in my life, I have been religiously going to the gym for the 3 months straight. Now there is a record for me. I have never been to gym so often in my life. At least its an improvement on my commitment.

Result for 3 months? There is growth. I can see some muscular shape here and there, however so sadly, I believe I have stopped growing. Whenever I am in the gym, it just makes me wonder, how the heck all this guys got big? Damn look at those biceps, how they hell he got such a big chest? Wow, huge forearm... I am like the tiny twig in the gym, trying to grow into a tree...

Anthony Ellis transformation - Body for Life

Anthony Ellis has been kindda my role model, however I still can't believe he did this in 6 months.

I am pretty much in the same size and still got my tummy. Man all this workout is not easy. Not to sure, whether I am not pushing hard enough or not eating right?

Right now I am trying to compete with my boss in terms of fitness and shape, however it seems like he is ahead of me by light years. HELP!

Yeah Ganee.. nobody said it was easy. It takes time.. and then when you're there... you wont regret a single day you put yoruself thru it all.

And about that transformation pic.. I bet he did lots of other stuff they never mentioned in the ad. Maybe he was on prohormones, had nothing better to do than to workout, eat, sleep 8 hrs a day.

True enough, its not really easy. Get very envy with those angmohs. They build their body so easily.

Anyway, while the growth has slowed down, its all part of the building process, going to implement a new training process next week, hope it will wake up my muscles... :)

I've always believed that the Ang Mohs had it easy due to the ridiculouslly cheap prices of supplements there. On average.. a tub of protein there costs USD30. If they're earning USD3000/month.. wats 30 to them? Unlike us.. we're earning on average between RM2 - 3k but spend 300 on supps. Its crazy i tell you.

Hey it is possible!!! I am 6feet 2 inches tall weighing 146 lbs. In 4 months of training and sometimes eating 5 times (usually 3-4 feeds) a day I gained 17 lbs.

I am not getting paid to tell you this but the book "Beyond Brawn" by Stuart Mc Roberts showed me how to separate the fiction from the facts of how to really grow muscle.

Here is a free-be for you. When you go though a phase of gains and then you come to a halt it could be one of several reasons ( actually 7).
-Excercise Selection: his book shows you which exercises are superior per each muscle category.

-Form: his book explains that when you cheat your muscles don't get correct overload.

-intensity: muscle recruitment is key. What is heavy is not always intense!!!

-PROGRESSION: Central to his book is the idea of incremental resistance. If you add 5lbs to a shoulder exercise up from last week you may stall out and make no poprogress for next week. He shows how you can add 1.5 lb increases and gradually add muscle month to month.

Those are the four things you must regard in the gym but outside the gym you must take care of;

-nutrition: Eat 5 meals per day or more but most importantly get your target caloric intake for muscle growth (go to ivannikolov.com)

-Sleep: muscle is made while you sleep not in the gym. If you are hurting all day because you party all night then you will stall out.

-recover: stay out of the gym and rest! I used to work out 5 times a week now I know I was grossly overtrained. Now I separate upper body from lower body and they get hit like this---- lower/upper/lower in week one then upper/lower/upper in week two. I give each a break from the gym for recovery.

Then what they won't tell you but Stuart does is this; Once you have satisfied all these requirements you will STILL come to a halt in your ability to recover. It is called "the plateau." You will experience it first in the smaller muscle groups (like shoulders) then the larger muscle groups like the chest. Your gains will just stop. You don't need to switch exercises to 'confuse' the muscles or work harder with increase volume or super setting or any other hoopla.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REDUCE YOUR MAX WEIGHT BY 70%-80% AND REPEAT THE ABOVE.

If you are skinny like Anthony Ellis as I am this will work for you!!!! Get the book from Amazon.com because you will not find it any where else.
